3. YYZ
✔4. Limelight
✔5. The Camera Eye
6. Witch Hunt (Part III of Fear)
✔7. Vital Signs

Well my friends, after reviewing two "other" Rush albums, I got to this. Moving Pictures is the standard for all 70's rock-ish(despite being '81). "Tom Sawyer" is the anthem, Rush's most known song, one of my favorites. Rocks out. "Red Barchetta" is a great tale of "The Motor Law" great song, with amazing guitar and bass. "YYZ'', airport code for Toronto, is the classic instrumental everyone looks for. The song is better live, not on here. "Limelight" could maybe be Rush's best live song. It rocks here though, great lyrics and guitar by Lifeson. "The Camera Eye" is an amazingly crafted piece, very long and great lyrical descrptions of New York and London. "Witch Hunt" is average, but with the rest of "Fear", its pretty cool. "Vital Signs" is a long, lost Rush gem that is one of their best songs. The hypnotic synth really shines. Great Album. Go Buy.

Rush-A Farewell To Kings (1977)

1. A Farewell To Kings
✔2. Xanadu
✔3. Closer To The Heart
4. Cinderella Man
5. Madrigal
✔6. Cyngus X-1

Rush's 5th album is a bit different than the previous (2112) and not as good, but its still great. The title track starts out extremely slow..then picks up really fast. "Xanadu" is a classic, one of Rush's best songs, rages on for 11 fine minutes of cool guitar (Geddy Lee on rhythm guitar) and druming. Neil Peart's lyrics are fantasic on this album, especially "Xanadu", "Closer To The Heart", and "Cyngus X-1". "Closer To The Heart" may be the best song under 3 minutes, ever. The vocals are awesome in that song..I love it. "Cinderella Man", written by Lee, is an average track thats much better live. "Madrigal" is a short, calm, good song. "Cyngus X-1" is an epic, great song, but its not as good as Xanadu.

Rush-Signals (1982)

✔1. Subdivisions
2. The Analog Kid
✔3. Chemistry
4. Digital Man
✔ 5. The Weapon (Part II Of Fear)
✔6. New World Man
7. Losing It
8. Countdown

Not the best Rush album..but its the one thats currently on my mind. "Signals" was a transition to the Synth-filled 80's for Rush. They decided to explore new areas with this album, such as reggae. Standout track and MTV favorite "Subdivisions" is one of Rush's first largely based Synth songs, dealing with High School gangs. "Chemistry" is a lost gem, while "The Weapon" is one of the big standout tracks and the best from the "Fear" series. Surprise hit "New World Man" puts great bass with cool lyrics and electronics. Great album, its one of their best.

Radiohead-Pablo Honey (1993)

Afterimage Review: 4 Stars

This is Radiohead as an average band. Before The Bends and OK Computer, there was the debut. Undone, could have been better. "Creep" is too much of a favorite, but "You" is the track that shines.

SONG REVIEWS:

You-5 Stars-Pretty cool opener. Great guitar for a Guitar-heavy album.
Creep-5 Stars- An anthem for all those of us out there like me. A explitive appears, keep away from kids despite being classic song.
How Do You?-4 Stars-Cool, short rocker.
Stop Whispering-5 Stars-Reminds me of R.E.M. really cool.
Thinking About You-4 Stars-Cool, fast, acoustic.
Anyone Can Play Guitar-5 Stars- Reminds me of other 90's alt-rock unknowns like Fuel and Everclear.
Ripcord-4 Stars-Pretty cool, nonsense lyrics with good guitar.
Vegetable-4 Stars-Disturbed rocker. I like it.
Prove Yourself-4 Stars- See above. Pretty nice though.
I Can't-4 Stars-Nice guitar
Lurgee-4 stars-Guitar Reminds me of Creep. Pretty cool.
Blow Out-5 Stars-Good closer, one of the best.

Afterimage Review: ✪✪✪✪✪ (True Classic) [Highly Recomended]

Voted greatest album of all time a few times, I can obviously see why. This album is all killer, no filler (Except maybe the cool intro "Fitter Happier"), and song after song it is great. A bit "slower" than The Bends, but overall better. The 6 minute epic "Paranoid Android" will remind us of a 21st Century "Bohemian Rhapsody", while "Subterranian Homesick Alien" will be so good, we'll forget the Bob Dylan classic of a similar name (Even though we don't want to). This, like The Bends, should be on your next shopping list when you go to Best Buy or wherever (If they don't have it, go search for it! It is well worth it).

SONG REVIEWS:

Airbag-5 Stars-Classic Song, great guitar and lyrics. On of Radiohead's finest.
Paranoid Android-5 Stars-"Whats that?" One word: Epic
Subterranian Homesick Alien-5 Stars-"Uptight?!" A little, still great.
Exit Music (For A Film)5 Stars- An Anthem for the saddened. Very good. "We hope that you choke" is a great line to send people off.
Let Down-5 Stars-Really good, great chorus, one of the best.
Karma Police-5 Stars- "This Is What You Get" Perfect line for a perfect song.
Fitter Happier-5 Stars- Hell, intros can be good too. Leads right in to Electroneering
Electroeering-5 Stars- Good Rocker, very good
Climbing Up The Walls-5 Stars- Awesome song, would be out of place on anyone else's albums
No Surprises-5 Stars- Surpised me, very good.
Lucky-5 Stars- Cool Guitar and vocals.
The Tourist-5 Stars-Great Ender to probably the best album EVER. Cool vocals.

Listen all you "Creep" and OK Computer listeners, there was something in between that, and it was pretty damn good. The Bends was Radiohead's second album, released in the height of when Britpop kings Oasis, Blur, and Pulp were the bands. Radiohead was that "other" British band, but they were the best in that time period. Fueled by classics like "Fake Plastic Trees", "The Bends", "My Iron lung", and "Black Star". This album is the first of Radiohead's many classic albums, and is probably Johnny Greenwood's best showing. Go buy this album the minute after you download it and listen to it straight through. Its some of the best 48 minutes you can have.

It could be about the end of the world, it could be about the goverment/military, it could be a 22nd century American Idiot. Whatever it is, this is one of the best concept albums I've heard in a long time (AI's being of overplayed has really screwed it over), and I would have to say this is the best album of 2007 yet (Beats out Arcade Fire's Neon Bible by a long shot) and it becomes the first 5-Star album of the year for me. I love it, its got a bunch of noise, but it also has alot of quieter songs on it, but this is the mix of The Fragile and Pretty Hate Machine that alot have been anxiously awaiting. The production by Trent Renzor and Alan Moulder is unbelieveable, probably the best since the aforementioned The Fragile. Songs are great, this album is one of many (U2's Zooropa and yet again, NIN's The Fragile) that has to be enjoyed by listening straight through. I am listening to it as I write this review, that really tells you how good it is. Sure, you could buy the album for the singles, but they're effect won't be half as good as they are when listened to with the rest of the album.
